CHRIS SHIFLETT & THE DEAD PEASANTS CHRIS SHIFLETT & THE DEAD PEASANTS [RCA]

Longtime Foo Fighters lead guitarist Chris Shiflett reveals his softer side with the Dead Peasants on this debut album. The rocker channels an eclectic mix of classic artists (Johnny Cash, Eddie Cochran and The Rolling Stones) to create an album of soulful pedal steel and twang guitar accented songs. Tunes ‘Get Along’ and ‘Bandages’ highlight Shiflett’s versatility as a guitar player and songwriter.

ELIZA DOOLITTLE ELIZA DOOLITTLE [EMI]

London born singer Eliza Doolittle’s debut album evokes thoughts of breezy summer days, young love and quirky adventure. It’s smooth, jazzy pop reminiscent of the 60s and 70s. ‘Skinny Genes’ brings to mind lost songs of the Motown era, while big-band influenced track ‘Pack Up’ repurposes the chorus of George Henry Powell’s ‘Pack Up Your Troubles In Your Old Kit Bag’.

3OH!3 STREETS OF GOLD [PHOTO FINISH]

The first single on 3oh!3’s third album ‘My First Kiss’ with Ke$ha jumped to no. 2 on the song chart just hours after its iTunes release. Katy Perry featuring track ‘Starstrukk’ and love ballad ‘Love 2012’ are sure to follow – the sexy Boulder, Colorago boys can do no wrong, and Streets of Gold won’t either.

PAUL VAN DYKE GATECRASHER ANTHEMS [VANDIT]

Acclaimed DJ/producer Paul van Dyk teams up with superstar club brand Gatecrasher for this three disc compilation of Trance favorites. Gatecrasher Anthems takes clubbers back to the good old days with tracks by Moby, Underworld and Café Del Mar, but also introduces new van Dyke mixes of Filo & Perl, Giuseppi Ottaviani and Reverse.
